The Tattooer
Written @ 4:10 AM
Mae and I worked on our World Lit paper earlier at Starbucks. We were doing a report for a short story entitled "The Tattooer".

It's about an obssessed sadistic skillful tattooer who finds a woman to fit his masterpiece. He inks the woman's back with a black-widow spider not knowing the consequences... Ah, whatever. It's just a short story and you can look it up on the net and read it yourself. It's quite good, but not so easy to decode... ('coz I don't read lits?) And I found a trailer just to satisfy my imagination. While I was reading the story earlier, I was imagining scenes similar to those in this vid. Enjoooooy! Hope this will get your schema activated!

"... when you've been in love"
Written @ 8:10 AM

(Credits: http://weheartit.com/entry/834191)

Before we tackle a certain story for English, our professor first opened a topic that flamed our interests. Love, relationships, heartbreaks. Yes, we are 16/17 years old, but most of us deals/have dealt with it already. People shared stories, raised their hands in response to questions like "Who has been in love?" "Who here is still in a relationship?" "Who here recently had a breakup?" and the likes.

In my age, I don't know if I can define that love. I'm not really sure if I've already felt it. You know, the love for the opposite sex. Love as in love. Love as in the romantic, stomach churning, heart pounding love. Some say it feels so good on its first run, but after a long time, it fades. Some say that if you are with someone who is destined to be for you, there won't be any problem... well, how can you know? Unless you really believe it to be, that's why the relationship is working. Some say you must be physically be together for a relationship to work, but some say distance doesn't matter. Some say a huge time must be allotted for one another, but some say you shouldn't always be together unless you want to get sick of the person. I don't know. I just see things. I just observe from afar, I guess. I observe people who fall in love. Listen to their stories... and conclude this one whole blog post you are reading.

Do you give love a meaning anyway? Say if I were to give it a meaning, it will go like this.

Algebraically speaking... Love is the constant, while everything around you is the variable. You love, despite the continuous changes of the people and things around you. I've thought that meaning over several times already. That's the only logical and wordly explanation I can squeeze out of my mind. Giving love a meaning is tough hard game.

I've met people who became "a part" of my life, a bit... but only one has left me that lasting impression... that big chunk of memory that he created for me in a span of a few months... memories I can barely forget no matter how hard I tried, until I gave up. That only person who successfully made me believe I am special, who I defended to many people who only see his bad side...

But anyway, we read about a heartbreaking story. Search it up on the net, Zita by Arturo Rotor. That's our next discussion in English. That's why we had talked about this stuff. How about you? What's your own definition? Post your entry and tag me. I wanna see some answers.

A simple get together
Written @ 3:46 AM

The block where I was in first semester was really a good one. Bonded. I consider them family. We gathered to see each other earlier for a reason. And that's to greet Nicole, our classmate, a happy birthday with that cake!

Well... afterwards, some of us went to Starbucks for a drink and went to Quad Square to chill. A good day, indeed! Even though I was called today to summarize the last discussion we had in THY2 last Tuesday. Hahahahaha!

Second half, second semester.
Written @ 1:55 AM

(Credits: http://weheartit.com/entry/959890)

Okay, okay. So let us give ourselves a round of applause for surviving the first semester this year. Being a freshie isn't that easy, you know. Just like our guidance counselor said, "It was like you went on a battlefield on your first semester, some are wounded, some did not survive. Some barely got out alive."

Now, I am still on my same block, 1-7, but yes, definitely there are new classmates to deal with and to be friends with. I guess with my first three weeks with them, I can say they're pretty cool... and studious, I might add.

Thank God I am still a regular student (meaning no failure). That's a blessing. Although I can't hide the fact that I lost my scholarship... yeah. Em still thankful. I currently have three math subjects in which I should be prepared to face, and four other minor subjects who get on my nerves for they are three units each. Three. Units. Each.

I can't say I'm totally lucky with my professors, though I can't say I'm badly unlucky as well. Just fair. I still can't judge them by the way they teach... we still have so many months to go. I just hope... I just hope they're merciful, compassionate, and of course, professional in teaching (although I can see, most of them are.)

Are you guys equipped now with what mindset you need for second semester? Try this. "Learn not because of grades, not because of material things, but because you need skills and knowledge that you can use to survive for the rest of your life." ... Well, see ya next post!

Gambate!

"Love does come in the most unexpected time and place."

True, that. I never thought going for a summer vacation would lead me into meeting this extraordinary guy with an extraordinary story, to match the adjective. Age difference... distance conflicts... bad rumors... Set them aside. I believe it didn't even matter to the least... did it?

P.S. I'm blogging because I suddenly missed the old times.

*Ciao! Have a happy semestral break, bloggers!

First College Memory Lane
Written @ 8:01 AM
Hi blogmates and readers! It's been a while since I last updated you with my life, eh? I see that the last post I shared was about my first month in college... and now, when I get back here, I am now waiting for my grades on the online portal of our school. How time flies! Now, to keep me from bugging that website and to make myself forget that it's already the releasing of grades in just a few hours, I decided to make a post about my first section in my first time in college. The family I belonged to while I was struggling with months of brain cell hardwork and neuron-wreckage. Let me get you back. This is my.... Memory Lane.

As I travel back into my memory, I remember I chose this section together with my high school friends, Erwin and Marijon. We were all entering the same university, and same college, so we decided we better be on the same section, which was --- 1-7.

A mid-day sched. I met a lot of people here, as you can read in my past posts. But scratch that, they aren't just people "I met" or "just classmates". As the time passed by, I considered them my family, and many of them considered the same, too. Why family, you say... It's not just because I watched UAAP games with them, because we laughed together inside the classroom, because had fun in the chatbox.... No. It's deeper than that. Deeper to be called family.

Imagine being sick and everyone tries to reach you in what way whatsoever right after class just to check if you're okay or not. Imagine being bullied but you're not pissed because you yourself are having fun. Imagine crying and everyone looks at you and offers a shoulder or a hug. Imagine having a class president who's up to all challenges and defends the section like it's his whole being. Imagine watching a UAAP game and you all try hard to be on the same rows not because it's where your ticket's assigned but because you want to cheer with the whole bunch of goonies who'll shout loud and proud with you. Imagine creating a little study group every time there's exam just to help out one another. Imagine a section that cooperated to give someone a little "debut" surprise. Imagine a section that gathers in the morning even before classes start.

That's not a section, I guess.... It's a family.

All the way, I'm proud to be a 1-7. Through thick and thin. Through everything. Sabi nga nila, through 5ever.". Not to brag, but I know our professors are proud of us. PE... trigonometry, you know it guys. I know you feel it, too. I will miss this. Mamimiss ko yung kumpletong "tayo" I know walang tatalo sa'tin.. Goodluck on the releasing of the grades (just one hour!). Regular man o irregular student na, let's not forget we came from 1-7 and we do not regret being part of it. Walang kalimutan. At always hatakan pataas. Tulungan para makaraos. We will help each other. That's what we always do. Wag mawawalan ng pag-asa. There's tomorrow for everybody. Light it up!". To my dearest chem-eng family members, ingat kayo sa pupuntahan nyong section next sem. I'm gonna miss all of you. Di ko kayo pipilitin mag-shift whatsoever, 'coz we all have our own dreams in life. We gotta catch it or lilipad 'to sa hangin. I'm thankful naging classmates ko kayo even for just one sem. See you sa bldg!"

That's the one whole rundown of how I became rooted to my first college family. This is the memory lane I am talking about. Because everytime I walk through it, the tingly feeling of having a lot of smiling faces is making me all excited...and nostalgic.

Cheers! And see you next semester (most of you)!

Fast forward: 1 month!
Written @ 6:15 AM

I'm now exactly one month old in college. Happy monthsary, section 1-7! ♥

Those people are just some of the friends I made during that one month stay. Besides that, my classes are killing me softly. I'm now liking caffeine products, studying till late in the morning, and reading long texts without any alternative. I can't just skim texts anymore like what I'm doing back in high school. I can't believe it's this hard to survive in college ..... but seriously? I'm having fun!

I wish to finish this degree program. So that when I graduate and achieve a license, I already have a lifetime professional title. I can make the most out of it. And of course, I can be wherever I want to be, with whoever I like to be with. ♥ :)

My start!
Written @ 7:29 PM

It was two weeks ago when I first entered college. And I just realized it's so stressing. Although I met friends in my section, I can't erase the fact that I'm more tired than I've ever been. Well... This is just the start! I still have to endure 5 years of this kind of life.

So yeah. Hello, UST.

Welcome back home!
Written @ 4:08 AM

The picture on the left side is me before I went to U.S. The right side is when I arrived back here. *Oh yeah, I've cut my hair when I arrived here.

I've been back here for almost a week now and I still can't get used to the very (yes, very) warm weather. Actually, to be honest, that was the first thing I complained about when we got off the plane. I'm like, "It's too warm in here." I never thought I would perspire that much again.

When we were on our way from the airport, I also noticed our slow speed. I noticed the road. I noticed pedestrians jaywalking on the highway. Okay, yes, whatever. I noticed that everything's different again. I noticed the normal ways. Or just I'm back to where I should be. That vacation's over. And that Philippines is hugging me back again!

So to top that all, I missed the people I left here for like a month or so. So from the day I arrived, I have scheduled gimmicks and dates to attend to. Of course, the "friendly" ones. I really missed my friends! I could have bear-hugged them all! *Though the only ones who received a bear-hug from me are two people.

Speaking of people, yes, I've left quite a few friendships back to where I spent my vacation. I met them through my cousin, of course. People who became close to my heart even though I've met them and got to know them just for a limited time. Aside from the fact that America is really a nice place, these people have also become the reasons now why I want to go back someday. I'll miss them, that's why I keep in touch with them even though we have different timezones.

I've taken with me souvenirs and memories from them. We've had bowling, volleyball game, played in carnival and arcade, stargazing, sleepovers, videoke.. We even ate at a Korean Grill resto, walked for the cancer cause, and strolled in the malls. Those memories are really worth keeping. Most of those experiences were my first times and I'm glad I did it with them. If you're talking about solid souvenir though, this cute little thing tops my heart. ♥

All in all, this vacation has been the best among all vacations I've had. Not that I've been away for like 7000+ miles, but there are factors that made this trip memorable. Thank you to my uncle, aunt and cousin who let us stay in their place for a month. :)

P.S. Welcome back home! --- and I'm now ready to go to college by Monday! Yaaaay :3

California Skyline ♥

The fateful day when we will go home is finally approaching. I will definitely miss this place. Although I also miss the people I left back in my country, the people I met here are also kinda special. I never knew I would also meet friends here in my short length of stay. Also, my relatives here have treated us really nice, and all I can say are endless thank you's to them. I had so much fun here!

I will definitely come back here soon. There are still more places I haven't been to, and many things I still haven't experienced. I will miss everything about California!

Here's a big big heart for the people here!

*just imagine there's a big big heart here, hahaha*

P.S. Wait for me. I shall return! Ha!

A dreamcatcher
Written @ 5:25 PM

Grand Canyon West, Arizona. Overlooking Grand Canyon Skywalk, upper-left.

In the mountains of Arizona once lived a tribe of Native Americans called the "Hualapai tribe". Their territory was located very near the tourist attraction of the state, the Grand Canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the earth. Knowing it's a tourist attraction and that it's really beautiful, we went to check it out.

During the tour, we passed by a shop selling "Hualapai" related products and souvenirs. I was busy browsing when I noticed this windchime-like item that they call, "Dreamcatcher".

There was a tag attached to it when we bought it.

The Plains Indians Say: You hang them by the window or at the head of your bed. The bad dreams get caught in the web. The good dreams work their way through the hole in the center, rest on the feather like a dew drop, and evaporate to the Great Spirit in the morning sun. The prayer beads on the Dream Catcher trap all the bad dreams that are left on the web. The prayer beads then burn them up.

Since I was having bad dreams these past few days, I decided to use this already. If you believe it, it's quite effective. My dreams are now more acceptable than what they were a few days ago. Dreams are usually weird, but my dreams has a much higher level of weirdness on it, so yeah, it won't hurt trying to use a dreamcatcher, will it? Of course, I still not forget to pray at night. Faith still wins over all this.

Working or not, this cute little hanging thing looks good on the head of my bed. If you haven't seen or aren't familiar of a dreamcatcher, you might as well mistake it as a decoration when you finally see one. Adorable, isn't it?

^~^~^~^

Credits: The information about the Hualapai tribe came from Wikipedia although it's re-phrased. The information about the dreamcatcher, (how to use it, how it works) is from the tag that was attached to it. On the back of that tag says "Certificate of Authenticity" <-- meaning, the dreamcatcher was legitimately from them. All informations were owned by the respectable sources.

Creme de la creme day ^^,
Written @ 12:11 PM

What: A Tribute for NCR Valedictorians
When: April 18, 2011
Where: Century Park Hotel, Manila

I attended this tribute for the valedictorians hosted by the Rotary Club of Downtown Manila last April 18, 2011. It's agenda is to give honor to the "creme de la creme" of the year. Gladly, I was one of them! Not only I was one of the creme de la creme, but also, my school is part of the NCR region, that's why I was able to join this event.

The students are introducing theirselves one by one before receiving the medal, certficates and freebies

You may mistake this event as boring, but no. Although there are 5 speakers who had their turns on the podium, every speaker had gained the attention of the whole crowd, may be it the valedictorians or the parents. Our guest of honor and keynote speaker of the day, Sec. Proseco J. Alcala, the appointed secretary of the Department of Agriculture, has told us few of the many achievements of his department. He also encouraged us that pursuing an Agriculture-based carreer is not as bad as we think. He even gave 20 agriculture-course scholarship slots and gave RCDM the chance to choose the lucky students. (We were given a scholarship application form to fill out, for the RCDM scholarship and for the Agriculture scholarship). The valedictorians were served lunch (chocolate cake and baked macaroni) courtesy by the hotel. *Yum! And of course, we were given felicitation by awarding us a medal, two certificates, and an RCDM bag full of freebies!

A Rotary Tribute Certificate & Scroll of Excellence

RCDM bag with freebies from the tribute sponsors

Of course, it doesn't end to that. There are still people who sponsored some items to be raffled to the valedictorians. Each of us has a number and if it is called, of course, we receive a prize! But my number wasn't called though. That's all right. I had so much fun and laughter that it's enough as a prize. Students who are winners of raffle prizes are asked to take the microphone and say something. My witty co-valedictorians are making the raffle hilarious by adding a side-comment to their "thank-you" speech. I remember one guy who won a jacket saying, "Thank you. Bagay na bagay pu ito sa summer." ("Thank you, it really suits the summer" in English.) After the raffle, we sang "Auld Lang Syne" while holding our seatmates' hands. Then the "meeting" adjourned. It was a very fun experience for me and of course, for the whole NCR "creme de la creme".

7 things I learned during my stay here.
Written @ 2:02 PM

Photo from my handphone. I think this is when we were getting from I-don't-remember place. Haha!

7 things I learned during my stay here

Okay, so first off, I've been here for over two weeks now, and I've already seen many landmarks, as well as learned many facts about the country. The silly part of it is that I'm trying to mentally list things I learn day by day. *Oh no, don't get me wrong, I am so not trying to be a historian. A no-no-no, man.

This is going to be useful for you too, especially if you are planning to visit this place too. If a teacher calls you up and asks you a random question, who knows? The answer might be here and you just read it~! ^^

Okay, so let's start!
  1. They have VERY different traffic rules and regulations.

Yes. As I've observed, people here are more sensitive about traffic rules. They obey every sign. Different concept of a U-turn. There are different lanes for cars, trucks, bikes and cars who will do a left turn. Traffic lights are enough as 'traffic enforcers' in every intersection.

  2. To them, car isn't a luxury. No, it's a NECESSITY!

True, every city/county have their own grocery stores, convenience stores, outlets, and food chains. But are you willing to walk there for 4miles, 5, 6, or 7? Darling, you need a car. It's a necessity.

  3. If you're a PEDESTRIAN, you are a priority.(on the road).

Cross the street! Cross the road! EVERY-SINGLE-DRIVER will stop the car for you. Well, of course, under special circumstances like the traffic light turns red, every car, of course, will stop. But in a street, parking lot, drivers are very aware of the pedestrians. They let them pass.

  4. Food comes in BIG sizes.

We tried ordering a burger in a food chain here... and it's true. I think two or three people can share and eat one burger. It's too big! I barely even finished mine! When I was done eating, I was like.. "UGGHHHH. I CAN'T... STAND... STOMACH TOO FULL... UGH.." with matching helpless bloated face. *hahaha!

  5. Houses doesn't need fences. A security alarm is enough.

A peaceful neighborhood, indeed. You don't see houses with building-high fences (like back in my country). Although I think, everybody is still having their own "security" concept like a house alarm. *so nobody would try to sneak in!

  6. Most of the houses has lawns and garages.

This is a small thing to notice, but I did. Since most of them has cars, they have garages. And houses are really far from the main roads so they have space for lawns.

  7. Filipinos recognizes Filipinos. Cool!

When a Filipino hears someone in the grocery or in a pharmacy speaking in Tagalog, they turn their heads and approach the person, and greets them. Well, I don't blame them.. It's not everyday you find someone here with the same nationality.

There are only seven things that I can list, but I am sure there are still many things to notice. Maybe if I complete my number of days of stay here, I may be able to list more. Anyway, I'm enjoying my vacation here. I will be posting "Getaway" posts soon and with pictures! Yeah, I've taken a lot of pictures because I know I will need it in my entries.

Ciao~!

Hello, California. :)
Written @ 10:34 AM
Hi dear readers and friends! I haven't got the chance to post a blog entry since I made the KD collections post. For that, I am so sorry. I will make it up to you.

Just to update you guys, I am now on a vacation at California with my family. I remember my first time in a plane, like two days ago... the take off, the landing, the foods, the self TV, everything was just awesome for a first timer. If ever I could personally thank the pilot and all the crew.. *sighs* I know our flight was delayed for four hours, but that did not bother me unlike the way it bothered people with connecting flights (*because they'll be late for that, of course.). PAL just wanted us to have a safe trip to LA that's why they had a 4 hour aircraft maintenance check.

Looking down from the airplane, United States of America looked very alive with all the lights flickering. And the cars moving like ants below fascinated me so much that I just put my balled fist on my jaw and stared with awe from my window. The moment the LAX gates opened, and I stepped out of it... my first comment was "Omigosh! IT'S FREEZIN' COLD!". And I just hugged myself in that instant.

Now about the time zone here... at first I was pre-occupied about the time in the Philippines. I always always think about it. And I think that made my mind confused even more. But my sleeping schedule has improved. Hopefully, I've already adjusted. Hihihi~ ^^

We'll be staying here for a while.. and I hope I can update my blog with pictures and stories about this getaway. I'm also excited to see my relatives here.

Let's all have a great vacation, everyone! Let's make the most out of it! *yeah, I will, because when I get in the Philippines, I'll be busy again about my college enrolment at UST...and I sure know I'll be stressed. I'll now take the advantage to have fun and have no problems on my shoulder!

Lastly... I'm glad to say --- HELLO, CALIFORNIA! :)

Korean Drama Overload ♥
Written @ 5:06 AM

I have mentioned that I am a hardcore fan of Korean Dramas, right? And to prove that... *no, I don't even have to prove it, it actually shows!* I will share to you some remarkable dramas I've watched. If you are just bored this summer, and there's nothing in particular to do, and if you are looking for something to watch, then look into this summaries, and surely, you'll find something to suit your drama taste!

  1. Full House.

    Title: Full House
    Genre: Comedy, Romance
    Episodes: 16
Actors/Leads: Song Hye Kyo, Bi (Rain)

(Credits to http://www.koreandrama.tv for the picture.)

If I were to award something to this drama, it would be... "The Best Comedy Romance of All Time". This drama, even when you watch it a hundred times over and over again, will never fail to make you smile..laugh..and cry on all different scenes.

Han Ji Eun (Song Hye Kyo) is an aspiring writer who was conned by her best friends who sold her house. It turns out, her house was sold to Lee Young Jae (Rain) who happens to be an actor. Ji Eun, very determined to get the house back again, agrees to a marriage contract set by Young Jae... because in return of her approval, he promised to give her "Full House" back. Other twists in the story happens as Hye Won and Min Hyuk, Young Jae's childhood friends, gets in the way and tries to confuse the romance between Young Jae and Ji Eun.

  2. Secret Garden.

    Title: Secret Garden
    Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Comedy, Melodrama
    Episodes: 20
Actors/Leads: Ha Ji Won, Hyun Bin

(Credits to www.watchkoreandrama.net for the picture.)

At first watch, you might think this drama will go nowhere. With Joo Won (Hyun Bin) always following Ra Im (Ji Won) around, I've thought this was just any other drama that the actress falls for the actor because he's always around. But this drama has other twists on the story besides the tailing guy.

Joo Won and Ra Im will be lost in the woods and they would find a garden. In there, they were entertained and given food... and everything. At their departure, they were also given a "medicinal" fluid that was "good" for their body. The story continues and they drank the fluid...like the movie "Freaky Friday".. the morning after they drank the fluid, they switched souls. Body or soul? I can't really ..analyze. Their romance begins when they are continually switching. And they will also know a hidden secret behind Joo Won's accident and Ra Im's father's death, that will make them push through their relationship even though Joo Won's mother strongly disagrees. This is a melodrama that kept me crying buckets in two episodes. Maybe 18 or 19?

  3. Mischievous Kiss.

    Title: Mischievous Kiss
    Genre: School, Romance, Comedy
    Episodes: 16
Actors/Leads: Jung So Min, Kim Hyun Joong

(Credits to korea.helda.info for the picture.)

Kids at heart and people who have one-sided love will be attracted by this drama. It talks about the life of Oh Ha Ni (Jung So Min) who admires high IQ Baek Seung Jo (Kim Hyun Joong) from a distance for four years. Although she got a chance to live in his house, she did not receive the same affection that she was continuously giving. Her father and Seung Jo's father were friends so they were able to live in his house when a tragedy hit their family. The question here is when will Ha Ni's love be reciprocated? Even in college, she still follows him around...

And another question... Originally, when did Seung Jo first admire Ha Ni, really? When did his secret love started? After watching the drama, search "Baek Seung Jo's Diary" in the internet.. and you will be able to comprehend his feelings in each episode. Cool, right?

  4. My Girlfriend is a Gumiho.

Title: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho
    Genre: Fantasy, Comedy, Romance, Melodrama
    Episodes: 16
Actors/Leads: Shin Min Ah, Lee Seung Gi

(Credits to allkoreandrama.com for the picture.)

This is about an aspiring actor, Cha Dae Woong (Lee Seung Gi) who stumbles upon a temple and accidentally releases a 500-year old nine-tailed fox (gumiho, Shin Min Ah) who conceals as a very beautiful lady. While running away from the temple, he met in an accident. Luckily, the gumiho was chasing him and saved him from danger by giving him her "bead" (a source of energy). Now, he is trapped as the gumiho's baby sitter... and develops a feeling for her. It confuses him because he can't actually fall in love with a fox, can he? Then a half-human, half-dog comes along and wants to take the gumiho away... that's when Dae Woong realizes his true feeling and fights for Mi Ho (the fox). But Mi Ho is also facing her own deal... she is destined to die in a matter of months.

There you have it! That's the collection of the most heartwarming Korean Dramas I have watched, although there are many that are also deserving to be in this list. I can't really brainstorm anymore for any summaries. Maybe next time, again! This will be it for now! I hope you've found something interesting!
All summaries were, like I said, brainstormed by me. I made them... from my memory of the drama. The source of the pictures were included just below the picture itself. The first picture, I made it in photoshop. If you see that something here is yours, please tell me immediately! I will credit you. No copyright infringement intended. This is just for personal blog use. Thank you!

Bakasyon Grande!
Written @ 10:21 PM
First of all will be the explanation for the title of this post.

The word "Bakasyon" is a Filipino word that in English, means Vacation. In translation, my title meant "Grand Vacation". Here in the Philippines, when the end of March approaches, students would say, "Yes, bakasyon grande na!" ("Yes, it's already our grand vacation!")..

(There, there... Congratulations! If you aren't Filipino, then you've learned something!)

I know you guys are just excited as me... I know you've got your own plans ahead. Maybe beaches, resorts, getaways, sea divings, sight seeings. So in my approximately two months of vacation, these are the things lined up for me to do too, like you. I have done this same post last year but as it turned out, I didn't even accomplish even half of the list. But now... I totally will. I'll strive hard!

I am confident that that list will be accomplished. Well, except for the last one. I'm not really that persistent in Math and Physics... I mean... We still did not develop "the bond"... but I will try my hardest! 'Coz this is what I entered. I hope your vacation guys will be just as fruitful as mine. Let's go and make every minute last! Party in 2011 GRAND VACATION! ♥ ♥

Goodbye, High School.
Written @ 4:10 AM

Graduation. This is an end to a phase in our life, but it signals a new beginning to come. Ahh~ what a day to reminisce.

Last March 17, 2011, our high school journey ended. The unique and good thing about our graduation is that few people cried. I mean-- there should be many people shedding tears, right? Our graduation was happy... our faces were all painted with smiles! When the program ended, our section, IV-Mabini, was the one who hugged each other at the center of the court... tossed our toga hats up all at the same time... went upstage and took a lot of group *wacky* pictures... in short... we all had fun~ We did not give the impression that we graduated with sad faces.

By the way, I was the batch valedictorian. *cheers!* It's a bonus, if you ask me, because I will be able to apply for a full scholarship in college--- which can help my parents. My speech was all about reminiscing my senior life, thanking everyone, and... dreaming for the future. I was overwhelmed by the comments of my family members and classmates, because they said my speech was touching. In what way? I don't really know...

My graduation dinner was held at Gerry's Grill, with the whole family plus the presence of my best friend, Kim.

It was all like yesterday...

I will definitely miss my batch. SENIORS 2010-2011! ♥♥

A night to remember. ♥
Written @ 6:17 AM

Seniors. What a splendid title, isn't it?

That's what we are. That's the title we are ready to pass on. And celebrating that moment of turning over the title, the standings, and the responsibilities, we all gathered in a special event called the Juniors-Seniors Promenade. Everybody arrived in gowns, dresses, bows and ties, and in their greatest physique and fashion. A night where everybody is ... beautiful and dashing. ♥

Let me have a recap of how my last JS Prom went, shall we? Help me read through the details, and enjoy the post! Look how I've transformed! :)

In a mall near our school, we searched for a salon to help me prep up. Gladly, there was Freshaire. There, I sat for almost 2 hours facing the mirror, while the make-up artist and hairdresser (one person) is helping me look my best.

I wore a cocktail dress, which was given life by the color violet. My theme was "simple but elegant". I needn't to wear necklace because my dress extends its ribbon up around my neck. I matched my dress with silver accessories and of course, silver stilettos which is at most, 3 inches high. *hey! It made my feet ache throughout the night!

So... I looked like this.

Not quite much? Maybe. But I loved it. I loved my look on my senior prom than on my junior's. I think it's because I look better on a cocktail dress? I don't know.

The program started. Invocation, honoring the flag, opening remarks, waltz, and the segment where I shall be seen~ *drum rolls*... the CLASS PROPHECY! Don't you think I am so happy? Well, there. I read the first four pages... and gave the microphone to my co-class prophecy makers to continue the story. The moment where I accidentally giggled in the mic... I really can't forget that. Of course, now that I know I will see it in the video coverage to be given later in March.

My classmate, Allen, was the one chosen to hand over the key of responsibility to the junior student chosen, Elize. There. That was the whole highlight of the 'JS Prom' program. But the real tension started when the special dances played.

Every dance was memorable. Remarkable. But of course, there is always the dance that can make you giggle alone every time you remember it. Actually, it wasn't the dance that will be memorable. It's the person who danced you. The way he invited you to dance, the way he led you to the dance floor, the way you held each other, the way you look in each other's eyes and the things you talked about... if you remember everything about it, then that was the person who danced you in your perfect dance.

I won't tell you who's mine, but definitely, THERE is someone. :"")

Are you thinking already? Who's yours? Try to remember who he/she was while looking into my extra pictures, posted especially for you guys. :)

Mind-wrecking exams, over!
Written @ 2:17 AM
Maybe I can say... that my academic journey in highschool is finally over. There will be no more notes to write, books to read, and lessons to comprehend (*well, for the meantime. We still have college, ~hahaha!*). I put an end to it upon writing my final answer of the last multiple choice question in my Physics exam this morning.

No more worries and pressures! All I (we!) have to do is sit and wait for the Graduation day to come. Well, of course, not just sitting around doing nothing! We all know what graduating students love to do when there are free time.... Yes, bondings! Classmates, batchmates, LET'S USE THE NEXT FIVE SCHOOL DAYS TO HAVE UNLIMITED FUN~ Spread the love to every senior! :)

Please bear with my page! There are still more to edit, like that avatar on the right. I still have to put colors for the scrollbar, icon for the title bar, and a cursor, if possible. I also need to find another set of smileys to use. If you know where to get these lovely blog paraphernalias, please let me know! and if there are still people who aren't on my credits list yet, please inform me through my chatbox and wait until I finalize this page. Thank you very much for your consideration! cyber hugs! :)

Last brainstorming tomorrow, seniors!
Written @ 3:50 AM
Tomorrow is the last day of our exams! Congratulate me! Congratulate us! *dances around*~~

Graduation is fast approaching. I hope everyone can take their diploma on the day stated as March 17, 2011. It will be a special day for us, seniors, and with no doubts, there will be so much crying in the event. :'( 150 students. Please let the 150 students experience getting on stage, shaking hands with the Principal, and accepting their diploma, FOR REAL. :) Let's make the most out of our few days left! I WILL MISS SENIORS BATCH 2010-2011 SO MUCH. :(

I still have some pending entries to post, like our send-off concert and recital at CPMP and my last JS Promenade at my school, so... keep in touch! I may or may not post it, depending on my... energy to type and to think of words. HAHAHA! Ciao~!

Sorry, I was closed for a while. :)
Written @ 4:19 AM
I forgot to open it again to public after experimenting with my page. HAHAHA. Now, I remembered what I forgot to do.

Welcome back! Lots of love! ♥♥

Ahh, yes.. I will soon tell this blog URL to my relatives, as requested by my mom. She approves this kind of thing, *blogging, I mean*, and she wants my cousins to read it.

Well, yes, I most likely can update my life here more than on Facebook. I can't really express myself there, *that much*. You can't rant about how your life is on Facebook, right? I mean, people will just read it and go... and can even say, they don't care. In this site, well--- this is mine, so I have all the rights to rant about my life, and no one can complain about it. That's how blogging goes. Hahaha!

I'm now busy with my school life, so you just hang in there, dear reader. I'm a graduating student so... yeah. Goodbye for now! You can always tag! :D

Layout Choices. [ ]
Written @ 5:57 AM

EDITED I need to add more choices! Hehehe! :*

I do think my readers are the best assets of my blog, so I am putting down my choices for my next blog layout. Comments and suggestions are accepted! ;)

This is from Ms.SockPuppet. I was already in love with it when I found out that the inspiration was taken from one of my favorite Korean Dramas of all time~ My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. ♥♥

From eggiines. If ever I'll use this, I will replace the banner with perhaps, my web name?! I dunno. ~~ of course, I'll ask permission from the layout author! XD

A masterpiece by ~cynna:). I like the format... and the very very cute navi. ♥♥

If you ask me, I really like this one. A fierce looking black & white layout. But I still don't know how to make graphics, so... yeah. I might not be able to change the graphics on the left side. This is from hasta_mañana.

This one is from hasta_mañana too. I also liked the color and the format. I didn't had the chance to use a black and white layout before because I can't find a good one. Layouts with that colors are striking, yet so simple. That's why I like it.

♥♥♥

Anyway, if ever I can pick one of these, I still cannot edit it as soon as possible because I'm still busy with school activities. ;D

40th Foundation Anniversary.(First $$$ Day)
Written @ 5:06 AM
So, we're celebrating our school's 40th Foundation Anniversary. The institution where I am in started way back 1971---and is still existing until now. It's the school's 40 years of excellence in discipline, leadership, involvement... blah blah blah... *insert praises here*

Like other schools do, we also have booths during foundation days. My section is manning the Marriage Booth, and I am pleased to say that on the very first day of its operation, I volunteered as a whole-day police. When I was looking for certain people, I experienced running around the campus just to catch them, pleading nearly to tears for them to come with me, holding them back when they're fighting to go... and so on. But hey, I wasn't safe on our booth, anyway. I was also fake-married to my friend, **temporarily, let's call him---** Luke, and they made us *sweet-dance* for like, 18seconds plus more seconds because they were teasing us to death.

There were McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and Dunkin Donuts who came to our school to sell foods. There are newbies like Photo Booths & Henna Tattooing. As usual, there is the Caterpillar ride--but it's name was changed to--Space Cater for some reasons.

All in all, the first day of the foundation week was great!

**AND YEAH, today's the Valentine's Day. Cupid. Red. Yeap!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone. ♥♥

P.S.: I'm editing a layout. This is already--too pinkish for me. I will soon use a simpler, not too girly, and not too colorful layout. Someone needs to grow up, anyway. 1 month, and goodbye--HIGHSCHOOL.

Random thoughts today. :(
Written @ 6:57 PM
Later, I will finally teach my dad how to use blogger. This is why I ended up here again, I want to refresh myself on how to use it so that I can teach him...correctly. ;p When we finish, hopefully I'll close this blog to my readers & affies only, (*Well, yes, including him.*)

1. How to tweak a blogskin
2. How to post
3. How to put pictures on your entries
4. How to put videos, etc.
5. How to put ads.

I'll still think about #5, 'coz I don't have much knowledge about it. Maybe if he did it first, he'll let me do it too! (*'coz I think it requires a lot of personal information..*)

My heartbreaking news: My voice is still husky. TT~TT How can I even sing a great performance tomorrow on the Pre-valentine concert?! My co-members of Pot's Diva... please cover me. And I still have recital rehearsals next week. Now, I'm taking a lot of ginger tea, hoping it would work.

So yes,

I'll post a more....interesting entry later.

P.S.: My half-couz is here. HURRAH~ !! :D

Notes for this week, T~T
Written @ 5:03 AM
Can I also call this dead-tiring week? Yes. We have been working with many things. Too much from enough. Too many to handle. Too stressing to not notice. With me, I have not only school programs but also other co-curricular activities. Let me put down my very~very~filled~ to-do list.

Sinulog Dance
Marriage Booth Paraphernalia
Stage Decorations
Literary Analysis

Send-Off Concert

See? Only one box is ticked. Four more to go. This is like Mental Suicide. TT~TT I have a lot of things to do... and to attend to.. so yeah, this coming week, I'll be too busy but I'll make sure to check on this page every now and then~ ^^

Our graduation is drawing nearer. My feelings about it? Bittersweet. One of my heart's desire is to graduate and to FINALLY leave the four walls of my school, but I don't want to leave my FRIENDS behind. Well... I guess that's life. :) Batch 2011 ♥♥

Collegiate Issues.
Written @ 2:11 AM
Okay, okay. On my previous post, I have said that I was torn between two schools. I think it's a different story now. I have decided. *hihi~ XD

I will be studying at University of Santo Tomas with the course - Electronics Engineering. I will attend to my reservation slot, ASAP.

But I'm wondering, is that course really for me??

- - - - - - -

This afternoon, as we were about to do the stage decorations for our foundation day, I was chosen to be one of the group leaders. The class was divided into groups for where we'll work on different designs. I get to lead my group. Yeah, and of course, we needed to measure the dimensions of the stage. We were tasked to do a design that needs the dimension of the whole width of the stage. I managed to do it with a meter stick and manipulate the dimensions by converting it to feet, meter, or inches. We did a lot of calculations because our design is a bit complicated to work on. We seriously need the exact measures. Well, the thing is I enjoyed it. *haha~~ ;]]

So I thought, can I be a Civil Engineer? Or am I really destined to be an Electronics Engineer? Naaah~ I'll see about that when I get to college.

- - - - - - -

Many friends of mine are going to Mapua Institute of Technology to pursue Engineering. Even though I want to be with them, I can't. So I'm really grateful that when I told them I will go to UST instead, they understood me.

1. Edrick; First thing in the morning, I told him about my plans. He said it was okay, and I need not to worry about it but he'll be studying there for sure. I even told him that we'll meet again by the time we take Licensure Examinations. ;)

2. Trixie && Kent; Just this afternoon, I also told them about this plan of mine. I contacted them through Facebook messaging. It turned out well and they told me that it's all right because UST is just one ride away from MIT. We can still see each other. And we could still help each other out. They even added, "Our friendship can't be ruined by just distance, right??" ♥♥

I also told this to Genelyn (my best friend). But she was in the same case as me. She has decided to pursue Behavioral Science on the same University. Hyaaa~~ My best friends on high school, same school with me, cool! :)-haha~ XDD

This is why I love my friends. I love my best friends. They do know how to support me. Not even one of them encouraged me to change my mind. I will surely treasure these kind of friends till the end.

To end this entry, I say:

"MAY WE ALL FIND THE RIGHT PATHS TO TAKE, MY FRIENDS. SEE YOU IN COLLEGE! ♥♥

Mixed emotions, at the moment.
Written @ 2:19 AM
I seem kind of sad and happy at the same time, that's why my entry is entitled like that. I think I don't have anything to say to you guys about my day today. But I think I can share you something...

I am thinking twice about the school I'm planning to go to. You see, my dream school isn't one of the schools I passed, so that's one problem. I passed in the University of Santo Tomas and in Mapua Institute of Technology. Let me define their differences.

University of Santo Tomas:

1. One of the top four schools here in the Philippines.
2. 400 years existence (well, this one doesn't really matter to me.)
3. Known for its Science courses (e.g. BS Biology, BS Medicine, BS Nursing, etc.)
4. Has uniform. (this one doesn't matter that much, too.)
5. Semester.

Mapua Institute of Technology:

1. Known for its Engineering courses (esp. Civil Eng., Mechanical Eng., Electronics Eng., etc.)
2. Since 1925.
3. My dad and my sis graduated there, the former- Mechanical Eng., the latter- Electronics Eng.
4. Quarter.
5. Has no uniform.

(**Legend: Phrases that are darkened are the good points of the school for me.)

Their geographical locations doesn't really matter as long as its not night time. The thing is, I'm pursuing Electronics Engineering and I both passed the same course on these two schools. Now my problem is, I can't choose a school. I need to find myself a concrete reason to go to Mapua rather in University of Santo Tomas. I need to have a mindset that says, "You will surely succeed in Mapua." or vice versa.

P.S.: I've been thinking--- If ever I passed Electronics Engineering in Ateneo de Manila University which is my dream school, I would not be worrying about anything anymore except for the tuition. Hahahaha!
